D. Allen Zachary

Allen Zachary is a highly experienced appellate attorney with extensive experience in wrongful death and personal injury matters in a wide range of areas. After graduating cum laude from Tulane University, he moved to New York and worked as a litigation legal assistant for Sullivan & Cromwell LLP on high-profile cases involving Fortune 500 corporations. However, he found such work unfulfilling so he enrolled at Brooklyn Law School on academic scholarships, graduating in 2010. While at Brooklyn Law, he earned awards as the top student in Constitutional Law.

After law school, Allen Zachary served as a law clerk in the New York State Supreme Court chambers of Justice Paul G. Feinman, who now sits on New York’s highest court, the Court of Appeals. Mr. Zachary moved with Justice Feinman when he was appointed to the Appellate Division, First Department, but then took a position as a senior court attorney in that same court. In this role, he wrote recommendations for the justices and drafted their decisions in a wide variety of cases, but many dealing with construction-related injuries and motor vehicle collisions.

Allen Zachary left the court system in late 2014 and took an appellate attorney position at Gair, Gair, Conason, a highly prominent personal injury law firm in New York. While there, each year Mr. Zachary was selected as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers – an honor extended to only 2.5% of all attorneys in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Mr. Zachary also co-authored a chapter in the New York State Bar Association’s Products Liability treatise.

Allen Zachary joined William Schwitzer and Associates in May of 2019 and is eager to continue his work for the benefit of individuals and the families of those who have suffered injuries or death because of another’s negligence or recklessness. As an appellate attorney, he endeavors to make sure the law works to give justice to those who deserve it.
